This is a retaining wall system where vertical posts (usually steel) are embedded deep in the ground and support horizontal wall panels. The strength is derived from the depth and positioning of the post, which resists the pressure of the retained soil.
When the post is being encased in concrete, no protection is required. The posts can be painted above ground to prevent corrosion. We recommend a resin-based paint system to give a longer lifespan.
